Cape Town is full of both extremes; very rich and very poor. Tomorrow we will seeing the townships and experiencing the poverty side of South Africa, but today we were shown sites around the city and how the rich and famous live.
Most of the group at Cape Castle
Okay it is taking forever for pictures to load so I can't put as many up. But after going to Cape Castle, we got to see where Nelson Mandella gave his speech after he was released from prison. Its a beautiful huge building and that was really neat to see. So much amazing history here! Then we went and saw the buildings where Parliament meet and all that politics stuff. Then we went up Signal Hill which is a lookout over the bay. You can see all of the city, the ocean, and Tabe Mountain. It was gorgeous!
Christine, Ibby, and me
The girls I share a room with. Four of us will be doing lots of traveling together on the weekends. We've got some great plans so far!
Then we went to the water front and it was gorgeous! There were so many locals and tourists just chillin on the beach because it was such a sunny day.
I miss and love you all!
I am so excited for you to have this experience. You look really happy in this picture. Love you and am thinking about you.
